DB Schenker names head of Ocean Freight, APAC

DB Schenker has announced  the appointment of Aditi Rasquinha to the post of head of Ocean Freight for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

She will join the German logistics group from Küehne + Nagel, where she has held several senior management positions since 2014, most recently as director, Seafreight for the Netherlands.

Rasquinha  previously served in various leadership roles across the Asia-Pacificregion  at DHL Global Forwarding, the Royal Society of New Zealand and Greenpeace, DB Schenker added.

“Aditi has an extensive international and multi-cultural leadership experience. She has profound expertise in ocean freight, and she knows the APAC in depth from more than 15 years of working in the region,” commented Thorsten Meincke, member of the Global Management Board for Air and Ocean Freight at DB Schenker.

“With her mindset of customer focus and excellence she fits perfectly to DB Schenker and will be a great enrichment of our global ocean management team. We are very happy to have her on board.”

Rasquinha will join DB Schenker on 1 July 2021 and will be based at the group's APAC regional head office in Singapore.

The post has been vacant since Christoph Matthes quit DB Schenker earlier this year and has been occupied on an interim basis by Jeremy Foxon, who serves as the group's global head of Commodities in Ocean Freight.
