Asia-Europe rates below US$1,000/TEU mark, slipping 2.8pc to $999

ASIA-Europe rates fell again last week for the fifth consecutive week, slipping 2.8 per cent to US$999 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
This is the first time that the average rate on the trade has been below the $1,000 mark since late February.
